Job Your Love Ltd ("Job Your Love", "Company", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes in detail how we collect, use, process, store, share, and protect your personal data when you access or use the Job Your Love mobile application (the "App", "Service", or "Platform") and any related services, features, or content offered by us.

By creating an account, accessing, or using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the practices described herein, please do not use our Service.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Definitions

"Personal Data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, including but not limited to name, identification number, location data, online identifier, or one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that person.

"Processing" means any operation performed on Personal Data, whether or not by automated means, including collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation, alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination, alignment, combination, restriction, erasure, or destruction.

"Data Controller" means Job Your Love Ltd, which determines the purposes and means of Processing Personal Data.

"Data Processor" means a natural or legal person which processes Personal Data on behalf of the Data Controller.

"Data Subject" means the identified or identifiable natural person to whom the Personal Data relates.

"Consent" means any freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous indication of the Data Subject's wishes.

"Sensitive Personal Data" means Personal Data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data, data concerning health, or data concerning a person's sex life or sexual orientation.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you create an account and use our Service, you voluntarily provide us with certain Personal Data, including but not limited to:

(a) Registration and Account Information: your first name, surname, date of birth, email address, phone number, and authentication credentials. We require this information to create and manage your account and verify your identity.

(b) Profile Information: gender, sexual orientation, relationship preferences, biographical description, photographs, voice prompts, video prompts, text prompts, career information (job title, career field, specialty, education, university), physical attributes (height, eye colour, hair colour, hair type, face shape, body type, skin tone, tattoos, piercings, glasses), lifestyle information (smoking habits, alcohol consumption, drug use, cannabis use, COVID-19 vaccination status), family information (children, family plans, pets), cultural information (ethnicity, religion, politics, zodiac sign, languages spoken), dating preferences (dating intention, relationship type), and selected quotes.

(c) Identity Verification Data: when you choose to verify your identity, you may submit photographs for face comparison. Verification is processed on your device using Apple's Vision framework. We do NOT transmit, upload, store, or retain copies of government ID documents on our servers. The verification result (verified or not verified) may be stored as part of your profile.

(d) Communication Data: messages, voice notes, and media you send to other users through the App.

(e) Payment Information: when you purchase a Premium or Premium Plus subscription, your payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your credit card numbers or bank account details. We receive only transaction information confirming your purchase (via Apple and RevenueCat).

(f) User-Generated Content: biographical text, answers to prompts, selected quotes, and other content you create in the App.

(g) Feedback and Support: information you provide when you contact us, report other users, block users, or use safety features.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access or use our Service, we automatically collect certain information, including:

(a) Device Information: device model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, language and locale settings, and time zone.

(b) Usage and Analytics Data: how you interact with the App, including features accessed, actions taken (swipes, likes, super likes, matches, messages sent, filters applied), session duration, and frequency of use. We use Firebase Analytics for this purpose.

(c) Location Data: with your consent, we may collect geographic location to show nearby users and calculate distances. You can revoke location permissions in your device settings. Travel Mode uses a destination you select.

(d) Log Data: IP address, access dates and times, app features viewed, and system activity related to the Service.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

(a) Social Login Providers: if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile identifier from that provider. We do not access your social media contacts or posts.

(b) Apple App Store: we receive information from Apple regarding app downloads, subscription status, and in-app purchases.

(c) Service Providers: we use Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, storage, and analytics; and RevenueCat for subscription management.

2.4 Sensitive Personal Data

Some information may constitute Sensitive Personal Data, including racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, political opinions, sexual orientation, and health data (such as COVID-19 vaccination status if you choose to provide it). You provide this voluntarily and consent to our processing for the purposes in this policy.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process Personal Data under UK GDPR and EU GDPR based on: consent; contractual necessity; legitimate interests (improving the Service, security, fraud prevention, analytics); and legal obligation.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Providing and operating the Service (accounts, matching, messaging, subscriptions)

  • Personalisation (recommendations, filters, tailored experience)

  • Safety, security, and integrity (reports, blocks, enforcement of terms)

  • Communication (service notifications; marketing only with consent)

  • Analytics and improvement

  • Legal compliance

  • AI Match (on-device processing of your prompts and reference images; not sent to external AI servers for matching)

5. How We Share Your Information

We do NOT sell your Personal Data. We may share information:

  • With other users (as controlled by your profile and privacy settings)

  • With service providers (Firebase/Google, RevenueCat, Apple) under contract

  • For legal reasons, safety, or business transfers (with notice where required)

  • With your consent, or as aggregated/de-identified data

6. Data Retention

We retain data while your account is active. After account deletion, we delete Personal Data within 30 days (up to 90 days in backups). Some records (e.g. tax, safety reports) may be retained longer where required by law.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, object, and withdraw consent. You may lodge a complaint with the UK ICO. Contact: privacy@jobyourlove.com. We respond within 30 days.

8. Data Security

We use technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. No method is 100% secure.

9. International Transfers

Data may be processed outside your country. We use appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is for users 18 and older only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Contact privacy@jobyourlove.com if you believe we have.

11. Cookies and Tracking

The App does not use browser cookies. We use mobile analytics SDKs as described above. We honour Apple's App Tracking Transparency where applicable.

12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents may have additional rights including know, delete, correct, and opt-out of sale (we do not sell Personal Data). Contact privacy@jobyourlove.com.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version with an updated date and notify you where required by law.
